About Karen
Karen originally began her journey at Greenfields Veterinary Hospital back in 2003 when she was in year 12. At this time Karen initially started out here on work experience through school. Through her hard work & dedication she was then generously offered the opportunity to join the team full-time Veterinary Nursing. This then led Karen to complete a traineeship whilst working; in 2006 her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing was issued. Karen always knew she wanted to work with animals, so she never looked back!
In 2007 Karen had her first baby, Ella, returning to work on a casual basis seven months later. In 2012 Karen fell pregnant with her second baby, Alex, deciding then to take a break from nursing to take care of her children as a full-time.
In August 2020 Karen decided she’d love to get back into nursing and so returned to us!! She is really enjoying the positive changes, everyday challenges, rewards of Veterinary Nursing again, and working alongside her awesome new team members!
Karen is a local girl enjoying life on a farm with her partner Josh and their children. She enjoys the sunshine, exploring the outdoors, camping, road tripping, cooking, reading, educating herself, listening to music, and generally keeping active and healthy.
Karen doesn’t currently have any pets though knows that one day another doggy will join her family.
